I Married Colin Renwick April 3rd 1965.
Our son Leslie Allan Renwick was born on 12 Feb 1966 at which time Colin was away at sea and I was living with Mum & Dad in North End Portsmouth.
In November 1966 Colin, Les & I moved to Portland, Dorset Where on August 9th 1967 our daughter Amanda Jane was born.
Sept1968 saw us moving to Welwyn Gdn City where we lived until April 1971 We then moved to Carterton Oxon where Colin was stationed at Brize Norton.
1972 we moved back to Portsmouth buying a house in Copnor, where we lived until 1978. It was during that year that Colin & I were divorced.
Sept 1978 Les, Mandy & I moved to Leigh Park Havant.
Dec 1986 I went to Australia with Mum & Dad..me just for 6 months , them permanently.
By this time Les & Mandy were both working and living with Colin in London.
When I came back to England in June 1987 I went to work in Cheshire as Housekeeper /Nanny.
In Dec 1987 I met Brian Downey, who was a gamekeeper in Derbyshire. We married March 26th 1988 in Ashbourne Derbys.
We lived on the Estate he was working on in Cubley.
After 30 years as a Gamekeeper Brian decided he wanted more time to do and see things. So April 1993 we moved to Hampshire, to be closer to Les and Mandy who were still living in London..Mandy had in 1991 married Nick Thompsett and we could see that grandchildren would not be far behind.
We eventually settled in Appleshaw near Andover , moving back to granny Susan Kate’s family roots.
Between 1994 and 1999 Mandy & Nick had 4 lovely Daughters
Lucy, Amy, Jody and Abby.
In Sept 1995 Les married Georgina Mulvihille in Selby Yorks and they lived in London.
The year 2000 brought us sorrow Mandy & Nick separated in the February. April 4th Les died of a massive stroke aged 34 after undergoing successful treatment for Testicular Cancer.
Brian and I still live in Appleshaw, Brian being semi retired.
